The band started its activities in the early 2000s, and the participating musicians are all stars. SHAG reformed in 2022 and released their first album “THE PROTEST JAM”! Led by SUGIZO, the eight tracks merge live recordings with meticulous layering, resonating with the era's powerful themes of freedom, human rights, and peace. The lineup features brilliant bassist KenKen, trumpeter Shimpei Ruike, keyboardist Kazuhiro Bessho, next-generation virtuoso drummer Yukino Matsuura, and the talented percussionist Kenji Yoshiura, all evoking the classic brilliance of Electric Miles and Frank Zappa.
